Utilities & Services
The City of Rosser does not provide municipal utility services. Residents and businesses are responsible for selecting and contracting with their own service providers.
- Electricity: Customers select their own retail electric provider.
- Internet: Internet service is selected individually. Many Rosser residents use Starlink because of its availability and reliability in the area.
- Trash Service: Residents and businesses contract directly with a private trash collection provider.
- Water: Rosser does not operate a municipal water system. Properties generally rely on private water wells, which are the responsibility of the property owner.
- Septic: Properties use individual septic systems and contract privately for installation and service. Septic permitting is handled through Kaufman County.
- Emergency Medical Services: Rosser is served by CareFlite emergency services. Homes must be registered and the required forms completed.
- Mobile Homes: A City of Rosser mobile home permit must be filed and approved BEFORE the home is set up on the property.
New to Rosser? We recommend arranging electric, internet, trash, water/well, and septic services before moving into or developing a property.
